Yoga with Julian

Are you an office worker battling daily stress,  an endurance athlete pushing looking to relax and recover, or do you have an interest in yoga going beyond ‘stretching’? My name is Julian, and I’m here to help you find balance and well-being through yoga.

I have been practicing yoga for 20 years, have been a certified Yoga Teacher (350 hrs) for 9 years and have taught Yoga around the world places such as Central Park in New York City, beaches of Australia, retreat centers in the Andes Mountains and in the Amazon.

My one-hour classes blend physical postures, breathwork, and mindfulness to meet your specific needs.

I offer three types of teaching:

  • Group Classes: Open to the public, fostering a supportive community environment.
  • Individual Consultations: Personalized sessions tailored to your unique goals and challenges.
  • Structured Corporate Programs: Designed to address workplace stress and improve employee well-being.

For office workers, I focus on relieving stress, reducing tension, and improving flexibility and posture. For endurance athletes, I enhance relaxation, recovery, and body awareness, drawing from my own experience in long-distance events.

Core principles in my teaching include:

  • Strength is equally as important as flexibility.
  • Respect knowledge from previous generations while being open to progressive innovations.
  • Our bodies, life situations, and needs are unique, so practices should be tweaked accordingly.
  • Our bodies are to be connected with, respected, and nurtured.

My teaching is deeply informed by a passion for primal body movement patterns, ancient philosophical frameworks from various cultures, and the latest advances in neuroscience and kinesiology. Currently, I’m studying Sanskrit and translating ancient yogic texts, enriching my practice with profound philosophical insights. I am working on a Yoga Manual that is due to be published in late 2024.
